We are thrilled to announce that Soccer Assist clients Ronaldo Gashi and Samuel Mhamila have secured places and committed to Coastal Bend College on partial scholarships. Gashi formerly played for Watford FC Trust, whilst Mhamila previously played for Willen FC. Both players will be joining the Coastal Bend soccer roster this fall.

Gashi tells us that he started playing football from a very young age and he most recently played for Watford FC Trust, and when speaking on his playing style Gashi describes himself as a creative midfielder. Mhamila also started playing football from a very young age, with his most recent club being Willen FC. Mhamila mainly plays as a direct winger.

Coastal Bend’s former interim head coach, Jarod Bleibdrey, was thrilled to have Ronaldo and Samuel on board and was excited for them to start playing in the NJCAA. Bleibdrey told Soccer Assist that Ronaldo’s “versatility will help him a lot in our conference” and that he’s “sure he will come in and do well”. For Samuel, Bleibdrey stated that “he shows potential and if he adapts to the speed over here, he will do well!” Ronaldo and Samuel are heading out to Texas this August to start their scholarship journeys.

Coastal Bend’s new head coach, Adam Butler, is also excited to start working with Ronaldo and Samuel. The former assistant coach of Southwestern Christian University, who are in the NAIA Division, is looking forward to working with his new squad this fall.

Watch Gashi and Mhamila’s highlight tapes below:

Both players attended one of our Trial Days last July – with Ronaldo attending our London Trial and Mhamila attending our Milton Keynes Trial. They have both made significant progress since. Soccer Assist Director Junior stated “I am impressed with how Ronaldo has gone about the process and I’m excited for him to experience his dream”. For Mhamila, Junior is quoted as saying that he is “hard-working and determined to do well” and that he is sure Mhamila will “develop massively” at Coastal Bend. We would like to wish both of our clients all the best during their time at Coastal Bend College and we look forward to seeing what they can do next.
