Soccer Assist is thrilled to announce that Soccer Assist client Ellisha Clough has secured her place and committed to the Meridan Community College. Hailing from Bolton, the attacking midfielder will be joining Meridian Community College Eagles women’s soccer roster this fall.
Ellisha has been signed to Academy Juniors Ladies from 2009-2018 and has improved and grew as a player throughout her 11 years at the club. Ellisha approached Soccer Assist with the intentions of combining her footballing ability with education with s soccer scholarship to the U.S. Having only attended a Soccer Assist assessment day in April 2018, Ellisha managed secured herself a 100 per cent tuition scholarship by the end of May 2018 and will be heading out to the U.S. to being her journey this fall.
Meridian Community College Women’s soccer head coach, Mike Smith was instantly interested in having Ellisha join his roster this fall. During Ellisha’s recruitment process Coach Smith told Soccer Assist ‘I would love to have Ellisha on my program. She can shoot, creative and seems to have a lot of confidence. I’m glad she accepted our last international spot.’
When asked about Ellisha SA Director, Junior said ‘I’m excited for Ellisha – academically sound and effective on the field. I’m positive her focus and mindset will take her far. Ellisha’s dad has been a joy to work with; very supportive throughout the whole process.’
