We are thrilled to announce that Soccer Assist client Warrick Simon has secured his place and committed to the Lassen Community College to play in the NCJAA. Hailing from London the former Wallington Wanderers and West Wickham defender will be joining Lassen Cougars men’s soccer roster this fall.

Warrick tells us that he has been playing soccer from a young age, he had many successful years of youth football, having been involved with various teams around London. Warrick tells SA that he moved to Reachin Higher FC where he has been playing for the past few seasons as within the London County League. The 19-year-old has also played for West Wickham Football Club in the Tandridge League during the 2016-2017 season and Wallington Wanderers for two seasons in the Surrey League. Now he is setting his heights to conquer California’s soccer scene this fall.

Lassen Cougars head coach, Imaan M Kerchgani, is excited at the thought of his new prospect.  ‘I like how comfortable he is on the ball and expresses himself on the field. We have a track record of progressing athletes to continue their education after their time here’ Kerchangi explains.

Warrick attended one of Soccer Assist’s Watford assessment days in August 2017. Since then he has flourished within showcase and trial matches gaining video footage to contribute to his highlight tape. Soccer Assist Director Junior recalls Warrick’s decision-making process. He says ‘After sieving through his offers, Warrick came to a decision to commit to Lassen College. We put him in contact with another client who previously attended Lassen before transferring over to a 4-year school on an 85% scholarship. I’m sure Warrick will go on to be a success!’.
