Soccer Assist are delighted to announce the recent commitment of Tanaka Gobere to Georgia Military College on a partial soccer scholarship. Tanaka will fly out to Georgia this fall to join the Georgia Military College Bulldogs roster.

Tanaka has been playing soccer from a young age, he had many successful years of youth football, having played for numerous teams within the Birmingham region. Tanaka tells SA that he moved to Kidderminster Harriers Football Club where he has been playing for the past two seasons as a midfielder. Whilst playing for Kidderminster, Tanaka signed for Coventry Alvis men’s first team to gain a wider experience men’s football branching out from youth teams. Prior to this Tanaka played at a district football level, with Coventry School Boys throughout his secondary school years. All of which have shaped him into a pacy goalscorer.

Soccer Assist’s Relationship Coordinator, Liam speaks on Tanaka’s journey so far,  ‘joining a nationally ranked program is going to be great for him. I know he will thrive in the collegiate system and go on to big things.’

Georgia Military College’s head coach, David Sexton is thrilled to have Tanaka commit to his roster and stated  I would love to have him come and join us!’ as soon as he received Tanaka’s highlight tape.
