Soccer assist is delighted to announce yet another athlete has committed to their U.S. college and will be heading out to America to start their scholarship journey. SA client Jamie Mitchell has committed to Illinois Valley to play in the NJCAA Division II soccer on a scholarship. Jamie is heading out to join Illinois Valley Community College Eagles roster this fall.

Soccer Assist director states, “Jamie came to us after being let down by another agency who promised him the world but did not deliver. This program will suit Jamie well and will give him the platform to begin his student-athlete career. We look forward to seeing how Jamie progresses.’ Jamie attended one of Soccer Assist’s Bristol assessment days in 2017. Since then he has played in multiple showcase fixtures which have provided key footage for his highlight tape and his recruitment process.

When speaking on his playing style Jamie states “I like to play possession football. Quick two touch passing to open up the defence. I am a player that likes to get on the ball a lot and when I do I make something happen. I am quick and like to take players on. I also have a good range of passing. I am energetic and when I am out of possession, I get back to defend.” Jamie’s football CV has teams such as Paschals JFC, Liverpool college 6th form A&B team. His top three strengths of Jamie’s game are vision, passing ability and tackling, which can be been seen in his highlight tape.

Jamie is heading out to Illinois in August. However, Tim Cottingham, Illinois Valley Community College Head Soccer Coach is very excited to have him on the roster and stated Mitchell is going to be a “Good addition to the squad”.
