“Carter has a fantastic attitude towards improving, and always asks what he can do to improve. Carter has been set tasks for him to do himself to help improve his overall ability, and he has always gone above and beyond in this area. Having worked at a premiership football club for over 15 years I know the level and what is required from players to have a career in the game. From working with Carter we’ve developed his technical ability to a high standard, which shows he is very coachable. This is a key aspect for players to develop further and to reach their potential. We worked on both his left and right side passing and receiving on both smaller and bigger distances, over time his ball control in these areas was of academy standard. His general athletic ability is above average, although he is not the fastest player his endurance and power is defiantly a strength that can be further developed to play at the highest level. An area for improvement would be to become more agile. Tactically Carter picks up things fair quickly, what’s also good is that if he doesn’t understand something he will always ask, seeking more detail from the coach. This has meant since working together he has improved very quickly. Carter has the ability and determination to have a career in the game, the key is transitioning training into matches, dominating on the pitch on a consistent basis, which in turn will help him.”
