Centre BACK
Isabelle is a strong, tough-tackling, dynamic central defender who can confidently carry the ball into midfield to start attacks. She can play long balls over the top to the wingers to drive onto and is quick-paced to track back and defend against runners. She assesses the game and adapts well by holding the back line whilst guiding her teammates throughout the game.

“Izzy has been an asset to our Football Academy programme this year. As a player Izzy is a very hard working, dedicated player and is technically very good on the ball. She reads the game well and understands what is required of her. She has shown great leadership skills through setting high standards and communicates with her team mates very effectively. Izzy is a hardworking, polite and dedicated student that has performed very well academically this year. She has also additionally been leading Primary School sports events in her spare time and has been a very positive role model for younger students.”
“I have had the privilege of coaching this young woman for over six years, at both local and district level. When assessing her football as a centre back, she displays bravery when attempting challenges, has fantastic skilful interception abilities and is able to carry the ball forward if the field of play permits. She is physically dominant, stopping attacks, but possesses great passing ability and ball control. Izzy uses her position and vision of the field to control play and communicate from the back very successfully. Her performance as captain shows her ability to lead, remain calm in pressurised situations, role model resilience, commitment and positivity for her team mates. Izzy would be a valuable addition to the university and I wish her all the very best for the future. Rebecca Sheepwash Folkestone Invicta women’s team coach.”
