Joe Lowther
Current Club
Harpenden Town U18s
LEFT MIDFIELD
Joe is a direct and dynamic left winger who excels in one-on-one situations, consistently beating defenders with speed, close control, and agility. His strongest asset is his ability to dribble at pace while maintaining excellent ball control, making him a constant threat in wide areas. Versatile in attack, Joe is equally comfortable playing as a central attacking midfielder (No. 10), on the right wing, or even in a hold-up role. His vision and passing range add creativity to his game, particularly when operating centrally, where he frequently creates goal-scoring opportunities for teammates. On the wing, he often finds the back of the net by cutting inside, beating his marker, and finishing clinically.

“Joe is a player I have known since 2020 as his school PE teacher, Head of Year and coach of his club team. Throughout this time, Joe has shown a real commitment to the game and improvement. Joe’s driven mindset, coupled with other factors, has contributed towards him continuing to develop and be a consistent high performer for the teams that I have coached him in. As a two-footed attacking player, he possesses the bravery and skillset to take on defenders with trickery and speed, and frequently produces goalscoring opportunities for both himself and others. During this time, Joe has represented the Hertfordshire county football side as well as signing for Luton Town FC’s development side. Overall, Joe has been a pleasure to coach and I would strongly recommend him for this opportunity to further develop his football education in America. I look forward to following his future football path with interest. ”
