Paige Harvey
Current Club
Aberystwyth Town Women’s U19s
Right BACK
A strong, powerful right back who’s happy to play anywhere along the back line. She keeps calm and collected under pressure. She also uses her body strength constantly to shield and protect the ball and to get out of tight spaces. Paige has composure on the ball to find the correct attacking pass and has amazing communication skills on and off the pitch. She also possesses speed, and when paired with her physicality, it means she almost always wins her 1v1 duels. Paige is also excellent at reading the game and is a very hard-working and strategic-thinking player.

“My name is Roy Tourle, I am the Aberystwyth Town Womens Football, Head of Youth Development and u19s manager. Aberystwyth Town Womens FC is a Welsh Premier League team the highest domestic level for Womens football in Wales. Our u19s play in the Adran South u19s league which is a tier 2 competition, and features teams such as Cardiff City, Swansea City, Barry Town and Briton Ferry. Paige has been part of the Aberystwyth setup for 4 years. She joined our Development Centre at u11s and has continued through our pathway and at 15 is one of our youngest players in our u19s squad. Paige has been a regular in the starting lineup and is very versatile, she can play Centre Back, Full Back, Holding Mid and Centre Mid. She is a leader on and off the pitch and is confident to give her opinion to both her peers and coaching staff. She works extremely hard in training and give everything every time she plays. Paige is a role model for all of our up and coming players and is extremely well liked and respected at the club. Paige is always one of the first players to help out at the club , whether it be coaching our younger players or helping on a first team match day. Paige’s dedication is inspiring and the way she has worked on and improved her game has been clear to see, so much so that she is regularly invited to train with the senior squad. Aberystwyth Town are very proud to have such a dedicated, driven, respectful and likeable person as Paige as a player at our club. I for one cannot speak highly enough of her.

“Over the course of two seasons, I was fortunate enough to be Paige’s coach for the Ceredigion county team at U13’s & U14’s age groups where she regularly competed against high-level opposition from across the country. During this time Paige has been an instrumental part of our squad and has evidenced numerous qualities that you look for in modern footballer. She’s physically strong and a technically sound player on the ball while also being coachable and intelligent in terms of taking on information and advice. She’s captained both U13 and U14 sides during my time as coach as she demonstrates so many leadership qualities that you’d look for in a captain. She’s an enthusiastic voice both on and off the field, she has a tireless work ethic and attitude to always try and improve while also setting high standards within the team during both matchdays and training sessions with her professionalism. I’m incredibly fortunate to have been involved in some part of Paige’s footballing career, not just because she’s a very promising footballer, but also because she’s a fantastic human-being that any coach in world football would love to have within their squad/dressing-room. ”
