To whom it may concern I am writing on behalf of Nottingham forest girls academy in support of Lydia Elliott’s application.in the 24/25 season Lydia showed continual improvement and willingness to learn and develop throughout the year.her attendance at training and match days were exemplary and always trained and played with maximal effort, setting and maintaining the intensity levels throughout the group.lydia played mainly in the central defensive positions, displaying the physical and technical attributes required to play at a high standard.Lydia displayed a good level of tactical understanding out of possession , showing knowledge of when and how to press, provide cover and balance and make interceptions/ challenges when required, regularly gaining possession and and initiating the transition to attack.in possession she showed a good range of passing using a variety of techniques over different distances , knowing when to pass into space or into feet ,progressing play from the defensive third into the mid and attacking thirds.Lydia is a mature young woman, she listened to and actioned all feedback given and was comfortable asking coaches questions if she needed further clarity. I believe Lydia would be an asset to your programme both on and off the pitch and we wish her all the best in her future footballing endures.
— Dave Long - Head of Nottingham Forest Girls Academy
Lydia showed a determination to improve herself both accdemically and personally, she demonstrated a wide range of skills in a wide variety of subjects. Furthermore Lydia had excellent attendance and punctuality throughout her schooling.Lydia worked well with staff members to identify areas of weaknesses and gave up her time after school to attended revision sessions to improve her academic performance, these were both 1-1 and group sessions. Lydia also represented the school in a wide variety of sporting competitions, always showing resilience and determination to win and support peers.
